Meet the Nut

This is the page in which I am suppose to write a beautiful and captivating description of myself.

I'm a casual girl!

I'm a casual girl!

I was married for 10 months before I became pregnant with our first son, Ethan. I had a picture in my mind of what it was like to have a baby. The reality, my “picture” should be renamed that was a total fantasy! Motherhood has completely thrown me for the biggest loop! My solution? Have another one 23 months later…that is when I truly earned my nutty title! They are both 5 and 7 now and I’m surviving nicely, but what a crazy journey it has been.

I invite you into my nutty world, which aside from my family, includes my first business venture The Dough Nut, which is where I hock my insanely delicious (if I can toot my own horn, I will) homemade cookies. I also sell them online through Foodzie. Although I love, love, love me some sweet treats, I am a total health nut.

I am incredibly passionate about what I eat and what my family eats. We eat about 80% organic and are very intentional as to where our food comes from. We take pride in our diet and taking care of ourselves. I will be sharing much of this information through this blog. Which leads me to my second venture, Juice Plus. I own my own franchise and make others aware of this wonderful whole food nutrition product on a daily basis. It is the next best thing to eating fruits and vegetables, and it affordable to everyone. Please take a few minutes to check out my website. Oh yes, as a result, my kids WILL NOT eat a McDonalds (by their own choice!)! I can do that for you too!

With both my kids in school, I have extra free time…ha ha! So, I teamed up with a friend and started an online magazine called Seek the Triad..

My other interests include:

Painting anything in my house I can get my hands on! Walls, furniture, you name it!

Working out at Gold’s Gym. My favorite classes include, Body Pump, Body Vive and Body Flow.

Cooking

Hunting down bargains

Decorating my house

Educating children on good eating habits

Hello Mary Jean, I really need some help with some healthy eating ideas for my kids. Do you have any ideas for great tasting meals that are really healthy. What about school lunches, they are tired of eating same ole same ole. Look forward to hearing some great ideas. Have a great day, oh-and love your blog!

I’d LOVE to help you out with this. I could write a whole book about it! It is one of my passions. I devour health and nutrition info. I do pantry makeovers for people too!

Let’s hook up somehow and chat…

I keep getting this question and I am going to address it in the form of a blog. I hope to be starting in the next few weeks on a “pantry raid” on an unknown (to you all) family who will let me raid their pantry and refrigerator and start making changes. It can be done! I will help you all!
