I spied this metal letter “T” the other day in a local shop and HAD to have it! I loved the font and had been looking for the perfect “T” for awhile. I knew I could paint it multiple times so it would be worth the investment. It was $36, but I had a coupon for 20% off, so it went home with me. I wanted to paint it ASAP, but knew I wanted it orange and had to contain myself until I could get some orange paint…not a color I have laying around.

I almost forgot to take a before picture because I was so eager to get painting it!

Here is the after! I tied the newly painted orange “T” onto a $3.99 grape vine wreath with some black and orange ribbon! So easy!

The Big Pictue

I got it done just in time for Kimba’s DIY Day too!

What does TGIF mean to you? To me, not really that much! I remember back in the day when life was all about me, myself and I, TGIF was how I felt every Friday! Well, since I had kids I gotta say TGIF does not really do much for me. Tomorrow I have to get up and do just as much work, if not more! OK, got that off my chest.

I’ve been a busy little bee this week…I’d like to share what I’ve been working on this week, and various other highlights of this Nutty Life I lead!

The biggest thing I did was working on putting together “Blasting for Boobs”! Seek the Triadis hosting the event to benefit breast cancer research on November 1, 2009. We of course had to have a trial shoot! We got a group of girls together who had never shot sporting clays before {myself included} and hit the 25 round course with our instructor. We were nailing them! It was soooo much fun!

I also did a little more fall decor courtesy of Goodwill. I spray painted this cheesy cheese board black and added my .99 cent black cat to this table.

Here is a view of the shelf. I got the red canister at the Red Collection consignment shop for $9.95 and pulled out some red and yellow Southern Living Gail Pittman pottery.

I fluffed the other shelf on the other side of the fireplace as well. Using things I had I replaced much of the summer beach motiff with pumpkins and harvest decor I had.

I’m still busy perking up other areas and the outside as well….so stay tuned!

Happy Fall Decorating!

OK, thanks to the Nester I got this great pumpkin idea and got jiggy with my pumpkin this year. I got a great carving pumpkin at Fresh Market (3 for $10!) and cut out circles from painters tape. Next I spray painted it gloss black, let it dry, peeled off the tape and added a cute bow!
