Darcy over at Life With My 3 Boybarians has inspired me to think about my evolution as a blogger. First of all let me just say that the one person that I want to meet and hug and chat with at Blissdom is Darcy! She lives in God’s country many, many miles away from little me here in North Carolina, but over the years she has had a major impact on my life as a blogger and I’m sure so many others!
So, how did I become a “blogger”? Well, my precious nephew was born in December 2005 in Brooklyn, NY. In order to keep up with his daily life my brother and sis in law started a “Blog” about his daily life. A blog I said? “What the heck is that?” I logged on and soon I was totally addicted at checking each day to see what he had done, what he was wearing and eating and doing that day. It was so fun and such a great way to stay in touch with him. I decided to try my hand at it too. So, in January 2006 I started a little blog about my boys and here it is, Lifestyles of the E-Man and G-Man. I had totally forgotten all about it until I read Darcy’s post yesterday! It is still out there in cyberspace! My kids were 2 and 4 when I started it. I headed down memory lane last night as I clicked through it! So, what will happen with it? Will it stay in cyber space forever?
I loved being reminded that Grayson used to wear his underwear backwards…
the backward underwear phase
Falling asleep together in piles of laundry….
naps with mom!
and tasting our first flakes on our tongues…
Yum Snow!
I kept that little blog going for a year and it seems it faded away in December 2006. I really can’t remember how One Nutty Girl started! Here is my first entry on August 21, 2008. I remember I had been reading other blogs and really enjoying them, so I started my own.
So, {I sure use that word a lot} it is 2010 and the blog world has changed! It is beautiful and fun and I’ve “met” some of the most amazing people. I’ve bonded with many a peep over blogging. Some people think I’m weird and just don’t get it, but others just click right into “my blog world”. I will admit too that is can be stressful at times, and can make me a bit panicky. In a world of Linky Parties and Give A Way’s and Advertising and how many people are following and reading and “do they like me?”.
But, reading my first post reminds me that I’m 100% still the same girl. I still love to paint and the same people still work at my Sherwin Williams! I still love Beth Moore Bible Studies and my perfect day is still to be alone! I’m going to keep blogging, I’m going to keep it real. I guess it is staying out there is space forever too!

I love the personal touch you bring to your stories!! My perfect day is to be alone, too. That is why I moved so far away from civilization…to be alone and see what I become in the process. Blogging has become part of this process…and we’ll see.
