The Kelly Ripa Arm Project

in The Kelly Ripa Arm Project

I’ll just start today’s post by saying “I want Kelly Ripa’s Arms!” There I have said it in plain english for the entire world to see. I’ve envied her perfectly toned arms for quite some time. Every time I watch Regis and Kelly I stare at her arms! Any one else?

Check out her guns!

Check out her guns!

I’ve always been a workout girl {don’t hate me, I enjoy working out!} and in the last 6 months I’ve really been pushing myself extra hard. I’ve reached my goal weight, so I’m not trying to lose any weight. However, my arms just don’t seem to ever get very toned. The women in our family are prone to the “chicken wing” syndrome, and yes I’ve got it going on too!. So, the question is, can I have Kelly Ripa arms if I really tried?

I’ve been inspired by the movie Julie and Julia to start my own blogging project. I’m calling it the “Kelly Ripa Arm Project” {KRA}. I’ve done a little research on her workout and discovered that she says it took her 7 months of hard workouts to get her arms really toned. She said that she had some chicken wing going on too. I know I’ve got my work cut out for me. I will be documenting my work and progress, and even possibly my failure, here on my site.

Beforepics
Will I be able to get rid of the chicken wing? Surely I am not genetically programed to keep the wings, despite grueling workouts, and endless pushups. Only time will tell. Perhaps, I will get Kelly Ripa arms! Can you see it now….maybe she would invite me to cohost the show with her and we could both sit side by side in some awesome sleeveless outfits. Maybe even interview McDreamy and McSteamy together, perhaps even have a pushup contest! I can dream big right?

Here is a short video I’m using to inspire myself.

Beloved,

Are you lifting heavier weights? I would try working out your tris & chest on one day. Bi’s & back the next and shoulders the next day. Go up in your weight. Make sure you are eating good protein afterwards..(your muscles need that after a grueling workout to recover and rebuild). Google exercises for these body parts and do 3-4 different exercises for each muscle group if you do them each seperate. If you pair them, 2-3 exercise will be fine. Make sure you are doing 3 sets of each making sure you go up in weight each set.

Wow! That is motivating. Seven months. That would be July/August time frame. Good time to start showing off awesome arms. I’ve been doing good on getting to my workout now lets see if I can ‘pump. it. up’ Thanks for the motivation.

Is it bad to say that I think Kelly Ripa is WAY too skinny? I honestly think she is looking a little gross. Arms – yes, they look nice – but the rest of her – too skinny! Somebody feed that girl some biscuits!

I think instead of calling it KRA you should add that last letter and call it KRAP. I know it is kind of a naughty word, but it just struck me as funny.
