It is the Chairs!

I’m loving the look of a wooden table with chairs that are painted a different color! That is the theme that was the same in all the photo’s in yesterdays post. The chairs were all different colors than the tables. Sassy Seamstress was the only one that got it right! Who by the way, made my fabulous curtains for this room!

I’m still totally in love with my mocha walls and blue accents! I just completed the transformation just over a year ago. Sorry there are no before pictures, but it was dark red to begin with.

I’ve never been head over heals in love with the dining room table and chairs. However, they were free from my grandmother so they will stay. The table even has 3 massive leaves that make it HUGE, however, she only bought 4 chairs. Go figure? Anyway, I’ve decided to paint those 4 chairs an off white to match the fabric on the walls.

Love this fabric!

I get such a good feeling when I’m in this room. The chandelier is elegant, the walls are my favorite colors. The chairs are very comfortable to sit in. Such a shame that we don’t use this room at all. If we have more than the four of us we eat in the kitchen. We have 6 chairs in there and 2 barstools, seating for 8.

So, what is a girl to do? My next brainstorm I just came up with yesterday….I’m turning this room into a big girl room. A big girl room you say? What is that….sorry you have to stay tuned. All the furniture and decor will stay…except the chairs will be painted! Oh I just hope I can get to them soon!

Love it , of course! Could you use the extra leaves as shelving like I did in my living room above my make-shift of a desk? Which too by the way is half of a broken dining table from my great- grandmother.

I love your dining room and can’t wait to see how the chairs turn out!
