Life is Good!

in My Week In a Nutshell

Post image for Life is Good!

Monday morning at 6:49 am {yeah, really!} I put my precious babies on the bus, briskly walked back home with Karen, my dear neighbor who keeps me sane most mornings, and heard the lyrics of “Freedom, to do what I want, to do what I need, Freedom!” Here is a glimpse of how I spent the last 2 days of FREEDOM….of course I loved every joyful moment of Christmas break, but none to sad to see the big yellow bus pull up!

The first day I went back to bed for 2 hours and then arose to hit gym and get back on track with my workouts.

Jamie tortured my legs. Lot’s of squats! I secretly love it. Yeah, I’m not normal.

Next, I met up with Trish and did a little “work” for Seek the Triad. We “had” to go and visit some of the stores that were advertising with us. OK, so that equals shopping and still finding some after Christmas finds. I think I got the find of the day at ReFab Exchange Boutique. Yep, its a super fab leopard printed Karen Kane coat, just in and in my size!!! Hate me!

Day 2 of FREEDOM {still singing in my head!} I showered {something I did not do on Day 1} and slid on that fabulous coat, got Asher {yes, he goes everywhere with me these days} and was on my way. I met up with my PIC Trish {the fab photographer} and we started “working” again!

A little more shopping at some of our sponsor’s stores, Orchard House!

So happy that I was able to pick up these glass nuts to add to my ever growing collection of nutty things!

I then stopped by one of my all time favorite places to say hello to the gang and look at some stuff for my next painting project.

Next it was over to my best girl Bernadette’s, which is also where Asher’s brother Rudy and friend Wilbur live. They were happy to see him and got some good playing in.

Here I hung with my girl and we put up a vinyl clock on her wall in her kitchen! {This random act of craftiness qualifies me for DIY Day on A Soft Place to Land!} Doesn’t it look fabulous? I like saying fabulous don’t I?  See the coat?  Bernadette and I are the same size and she was quite miffed I had scored the coat….but we are good at sharing our “wealth”.

the best friend ever!

the best friend ever!

Suddenly, the day was over and the bus was soon to be back with my babies. So, my dear friend, who had been slaving all day in the kitchen making homemade soup and sauce, dished me out dinner and sent me on my way.

I’ll leave out the details of the rest of the day. They do include arguing about homework, breaking up fights, etc. etc.!  You know the drill!

I’m off to tackle Day 3, which includes cleaning my house and laundry!  Have a fab day!

Fab!!
I am so glad you connected with me this AM. I love your blog! I have one, too. Check it out, if you have the time. Love your design ideas, sense of humor and admire your style and discipline. Don’t say that too often either. Something to aspire to! Keep up the good work!
