in Blessings, My Week In a Nutshell

Post image for My Christmas in a Nutshell!

Here is my Christmas in a Nutshell. The boys decided {on their own} that Santa was a little “heavy” and could use some healthier snacks on his plate. The got out their Juice Plus gummies and some carrots for the Reindeer and left them for him on their Santa Plate.  Then they were off to bed. Surprisingly they were asleep in no time! This was great for me because I was WAY behind on wrapping this year. I then had to wrap for at least 2 hours! Why do I do this to myself? Every year I say I’m going to get everything done early and then I never do!

A few gifts!

A few gifts!

After both sets of grandparents, plus Santa, we had quite a stash of presents under the tree! It was beautiful and I thanked God for all we had….and then felt a little sad that we had so much and others in the world did not.

Ahhh....the Playmobile Pyramid....only 1 million pieces!

The morning came at a very reasonable time I must say. We heard the pitter patter of excited feet at about 7:15. We arose, texted the grandparents to hit the road {they live 8 minutes away!}, and were on our way to attack the tree! The big gift this year was the Egyptian Pyramid Playmobile set. Only a mere 149 plus pieces! My dad, bless his heart, was on “put it together” detail for this one. 2 hours later and a few cups of coffee he had mastered it!

It always seems when I am trying to get a photo of a gift being opened that I get “the butt shot”. I was a bit irritated when Grayson went to bed the night before that he chose some old worn out Lightening McQueen PJ’s. I knew there would be photo ops and I just wanted him in some cute wintry PJ’s. I’m trying to worry less about these stupid things that don’t make a hill of beans in life, so I just let it go and went with his choice in PJ’s.

It was Asher’s first Christmas with us….you knew I would not forget him! He had a great Christmas and loved having my mother in laws two dogs to play with. He racked up in gifts too! Everyone loves a new puppy!

Here is the one and only photo of me….check me out in my Seek T-shirt. Amazing that there is even one at all. I look thrilled don’t I. I’m playing with my new iPhone I got as a early Christmas present from the hubby a few weeks ago. I’m so in love with it! I did take some great Christmas video with is on the video camera it has!

That is my Christmas. It was wonderful! The in laws left the next morning and we spent the day after just hanging in the house together. I can’t believe a New Year is almost here! They just seem to be flying by!

Hey darlin!! Missing you terribly! So glad to see you had a good Christmas! What are your plans for New Years? We aren’t sure yet.
Our kids will be spending the night at the in-laws, so the sky is the limit.

Get your fingers ready for painting. My husband and father-in-law are half finished with the new entertainment center…and you did say you’d paint it ….remember???

I’m crazy about you!
