Like most of everyone on the east coast we got our snow! It was a beautiful winter wonderland at our house! Snow is just so magical and brings back so many memories for me as a child. I grew up in Detroit and snow was plentiful for us! It is a rare treat to get this much at one time in North Carolina.
snow scenes
We all bundled up and headed outside to enjoy the blanket of whiteness!
Asher's first snow!
Asher was sporting his new coat! It was his first experience with snow. He was very curious as to what it was. He was so funny hopping around in it. However, he is NOT so thrilled at finding a place to “go” in the snow. So, at this point, I’m hopeful for a melting so we can return to normal “habits” if you know what I mean.
Snow...glorious snow!
Ethan had a blast and could not help but eat a bit or too! How many of you uttered “Don’t Eat Snow!”? Can you imagine how toxic it is these days??? Ok, lets move off that topic.
A few minutes in the snow!
Poor little Grayson took a few turns down our little hill and then just lay there crying. He declared he did not feel well and wanted to go inside. OK, what 5 year old wants to go inside in fresh snow? Well, the germs had finally found our family after being germ free this entire school year! He hit the couch hard for the rest of the day. Poor baby missed most of the snow! It is always fun for a few days and then I crave the regular routine of life.
Just a few more days until Christmas! I’ve got lots to do as I know you do to. I was a busy little bee reclaiming my dining room as a dining room and cleaning up the playroom to prepare for Santa!
