Entering my Mary’s project’s into Kimba’s DIY Day today!

A beauty!

A beauty!

Seek the Triad is featuring Mary’s Antiques, one of my favorite stores in Greensboro today!

I’m showing off a few treasures I’ve gotten at Mary’s over the years. I’ve fashioned many things from door frames, shutters, old windows and cabinet doors.

My first purchase from Mary’s was an old kitchen cabinet door that was a hideous shade of blue. I painted it, stuck some vinyl letters on it, and hung it over my laundry room door.

The shutter on the left is one of several I have bought. I love to dress them up with pictures.

Can you find more Mary’s loot in my living room?

Look familiar?

How about this door frame I scored for $25…it’s hanging over the ledge above the fireplace framing a $1.50 piece of fabric!

Oh yes and this delicious splurge… the tin over my fireplace….not too bad $60!

This was an old window my friend and I found in the back digging through windows. She knocked the glass out and put in a chalkboard!

Oh, the possibilities are just endless! Check out Mary’s Antiques in downtown Greensboro on South Elm. After you go across the train tracks, it on the left, next to the Mellow Mushroom. Maybe I’ll have a Mr. Linky party with your Mary’s finds!

cool stuff! I have a screen like your window. I’ve been wanting to make a chalkboard out of it, but I don’t have a piece of wood large enough. I need to make a trip to home depot!
