Even though he does not read my blog, I am going to dedicate today’s post to him….and send him the link! My Man turned 45 on Saturday. He is quite easy on the eyes and does not look 45 at all! He puts up with a lot and I want to make sure he knows how much I appreciate him and all he does for me and our family.
Like Father Like Son
He is a wonderful father!
Beach Engineer
Master Sandcastle Engineer!
Other People's Stuff
He endures other’s peoples furniture in our garage on a frequent basis! {BTW I have been tasked with a fabulous $25 coffee table find to work on for a friend…it’s in the garage!}
Constant Color Changes
He is overall pretty calm about the constant color change, construction or rearrangement of things in our house.
Our Baby
He even has to endure my constant photo ops. Here I have forced him to hold our dog like a baby with our niece’s passy in his mouth! Now that is quite a pose! {The red thing in the passy}
I Love You!
He also has some serious style!
He is 5 years and 1 day older than me! We’ve celebrated 10 very special birthdays together! I look forward to spending maybe 50 more with him!
Happy {slightly belated!} Birthday to you D! I love you dear! Please leave me a comment and start reading my blog!
So, does your hubby read your blog? If not, write him a post and send him a link! It is the modern day love letter!

Hi, MJ! Thanks for stopping by my porch.
Love this post! My hubby does NOT read my blog on a regular basis, but will if I tell him to go look (like vacation pics). What a sweet post for your hubby. And you’re right, he does not look 45. What a great looking couple you are! And you are one hot mama.
great post and precious pics. very sweet and honoring to your man!
love you both
Forgot to answer your question about the shutters! Yes, I did make them & there is a link at the top of that porch post about making the shutters. Easy! Made out of fence slats.
Oh Mary Jean what a wonderful husband you have and what a great way to celebrate him!!! I will actually be featuring my husband and his blog on my blog sometime next week when he finishes his blog redesign. He is my GREATEST encourager in my writing and blogging…and will go read it when I ask him to…he reads each blog post and talks with me about it…occasionally he will leave a comment but he prefers to visit with me about them in person. I am his biggest fan too. Thank you for sharing this and for encouraging us to celebrate our husbands in a blog post. I completely agree with you!!!! It IS the modern day love letter… (smile)
Let’s see, I have to admit that this is the first time I’ve read your blog…or anyone else’s blog for that matter. I appreciate the post (but could have done without the beach photo) and while things are not always paradise (though it frequently is), you are a wonderful and loving wife and it is an honor to be your husband. I love you and will forever!!
Ummmm, I don’t think my husband even knows that I blog… he just hears be jibber jabber about something I LOVE to do ALL day long. I think he sees my mouth moving saying… blah, blog, blah, blog, blah.
I love you your idea to write bout him and send him a link!!! Would that send him into a frenzy of love for me? Well maybe not, but it sure would get my point across of how much I love him.
MJ as usual you have a way with words! What a great tribute to your husband and your love affair. My husband does not read my blog unless he hears from an outside party that there is a photo on there of him and then he checks it out! But I’m okay with that seeing as I do “occasionally” work the blog into our conversations! I’m happy you have such a wonderful & loving marriage. Happy bday to your hubby.
Now… that was sweet! Photos and all! I wish you many happy years together!
Aww, I adore love!!! What a fabulous post about your dear hubby. My husband does not read my blog. “sigh” = )
