I’m still trying to hang onto my beachy life from last week! Although it has been far from beachy in my house this past week, I’ve been able to stay inspired via some great Coastal Themed blogs this week. I thought I’d share a few of my favorite places I’ve been visiting for Coastal Decorating Inspiration.

Just Beachy has me craving the look of recessed paneling in the bedroom. I’m officially adding putting up board and batten recessed paneling and painting my bedroom furniture white to my “to do” list. {Oh yeah, after I rip out my nasty carpet!}

The Virginia House has got me wondering if I could make this fabulous beach sign. I brought back two pieces of driftwood from the beach. Put that on the “to do” list too!

Erin at House of Turquoise keeps me in a constant state of amazement with all the photo’s of fabulous decor she finds! I’m totally inspired to decorate with my beach shells from this picture!

Thinking about my decorating wish list and dreams  makes me realize why I call myself One Nutty Girl.

You all inspire me and give me the attitude of “I can do that too!”

I just found you through Melissa’s blog Inspired Room. I saw your link. I’m loving your blog. I love anything to do with the beach. I want my house to look like we live off the coast. It’s a work in progress. I’m looking forward to perusing your blog and thank you for sharing the other blogs you like to visit. I’m putting your button on my blog. Have a great weekend!

Dear Mary Jean, before you know it your children will be grown and you will be able to finish the laundry and whatever else you’ve been wanting to do ALONE.

I was mostly alone when my 2 children were very young. My girl was the older of the 2 but was just as active as my son. When I was exhausted from it all, everyone went to their rooms for an hour. We had only 1 TV at the time so the kids would do puzzles or whatever they did and I’d be in my room getting my rest taking a nap or reading. 7:30pm every night they went to their rooms but not to sleep. My son had a desk even at a very young age he gathered his ’stuff’ preparing for the next day. My daughter would dance or read but wasnt one to prepare for the next day, LOL!! My ex was always working and when he wasnt he was playing baseball with the 2 teams he ran. In winter he’d sleep. I went to the gym ALOT. Tired of being a single a parent while being married we went thru 5 yrs of divorce proceedigs because he didnt want to lose his Mommy! (Who else was going to cook, clean do his laundry for him while he did his own thing)? I’ve been happily alone for the past 18 or so years. I have my dogs and do my own thing. I have no desire to remarry but it would be nice to meet someone. Until that time my children grown I’m HAPPY!!
