Lindy from lindy-whoami.blogspot.com had some wonderful thoughts on Being Still while she goes for a run. I too mentally need my exercise time and get super frustrated when something interrupts it. I’m coming off an ankle injury and now facing summer with kids home all day. I sill need to find that time to Be Still and exercise.
Take a few minutes to read Lindy’s Be Still post from last week and check out her two beautiful children and the rest of her life in Minnesota on her blog.
Being Still....always a challenge!
From Lindy……
Why are the things that sometimes help you to be still also the ones that can cause you to physically be still? I am still today. I am really still because it seems these “old lady” knees are having trouble picking up the running thing again. I love to run or at least I enjoy it. I am also the high school cross country coach and I need to be in shape by late August. I was anxious to get running and felt I was making progress. Now progress in the running department has stopped. My knees are in intense pain. I tried to run through it but it seems the pain keeps following me.
Running is one of those things that can cause my mind to be still in an odd sort of way. It gives me time to sort all of my thoughts and weed out the things that I don’t need to think about. That helps me to be still and be in the moment when I get back. This week though instead of stilling my mind, running has stilled my body. Monday seems a little more overwhelming without a quick run.
Please link up today to share your thoughts on Being Still in your life, or anything else you want to share. Do you have any tips on getting your exercise time in for the summer?

Thank you! I wish I could say I was running again, but I am going to wait and be still for a few more days!
