Take a look at the current state of affairs of my bar stools! I think the offensive stain in question here is mustard. If you could touch and feel from your computer you would also note the crustiness of them too. I’ve been meaning to recover them, but the thought of spending any money on these napkins barstools just has not happened.

On Saturday I was unable to yard sale because I was helping my dear friend Sodderbug with a great event called Miles for Smiles. Afterward I was in a huge hurry to get to my son’s baseball game. Suddenly I saw the words Neighborhood Yard Sale……SCREECH……..I suddenly was driving through a very nice neighborhood at 10 am, not the best time to score anything {in yard sale time that is like 6 pm}. Anyway, I had time for one house and I had to pick carefully. I just so happen to hit the home of a well known interior designer in our area. After painfully {I’m still mourning this!} realizing I had missed the mother load at 7 am, I did stumble upon about 4 yards of this fabric for $2.00!!! It had my name all over it!

Of course I was daydreaming through the entire baseball game of how wonderful my bar stools were going to look!

So much better

So much better

Not too soon after walking in the door I breathed a sigh of relief with this new look!!! I did not even take the old stuff off! I just stapled the new right on top. The best part was that I have enough fabric to recover them about 4 more times!! The big question is how long until the first stain?

what did I do with this?

what did I do with this?

Stay tuned to find out what I did with this old paperback book….

Sigh. I guess I should start yard sale-ing it. I have a fear that I will end up with a bunch of random stuff that I don’t know what to do with…
on that note, what should I do with a bunch of mugs that look like various pirates? my mantle is taken already…

Good job. Unless I am doing a recover for a customer, I never remove the old fabric.
